CAI-PAN mint is the Original

CAI-PAN is pure Japanese peppermint oil that is extracted from the plant "Mentha arvensis L. var. piperascens Holmes ex Christy." We obtain this essential oil in sealed barrels directly from its source in Japan. The oil is rigorously tested to verify its purity and quality.

The area in Japan that CAI-PAN comes from can boast of the world's best climate and soil conditions for cultivating peppermint plants. And for that reason, CAI-PAN products are of extremely high quality.

This is one of the reasons why CAI-PAN differs from similar products and especially from pirate products. The producers of these products lack the components, knowledge and know-how that are the basis of our CAI-PAN products.

One of the worst cases of product piracy was committed by one of our former distributors. He is marketing a product that looks very similar to our CAI-PAN mint, however, ONLY CAI-PAN mint IS THE ORIGINAL!

This is the new UDDERMINT label for a product that is not produced by CAI-PAN A/S. It does not contain the real CAI-PAN Japanese peppermint oil and is not manufactured in accordance with the original well-tested CAI-PAN formula.

Since the end of 1997 a former distributor of CAI-PAN A/S has been trying to undermine the credibility of CAI-PAN, and has been trying to steal market shares with a copy product. It is the opinion of CAI-PAN A/S that this agent broke a legally binding contract and abused a relationship of trust to create a pirate product of his own.

In December 1997, CAI-PAN A/S filed a complaint against the production of this copy product at the court in Mariager, DK. In this context P. Pampel has the following to say:
"In the past we have often experienced that other manufacturers have tried to establish themselves on the market with products of supposedly equal quality, and we are constantly on guard against these plagiarisms."

The lawsuit found a happy end on August 6th, 1998 at the court in Mariager, Denmark. The producer of the plagiarised product stated under oath and threat of punishment, that the "new" Uddermint is not produced according to the original CAI-PAN formula.
