Intriguing Sires (Holstein International 09/08)
Tuesday 23rd September 2008
This Mountain son owes his popularity mostly to his high production potential. Besides his points to protect in his type proof there are significant positives, including good rump angle. Maybe it is therefore that, that his daughter Sonette GP81 of the Goyer Partnership from Maine-et-Loire, proved to be a good partner for Opsal Finley.
This American Formation son was one of the better type bulls among the sires of sons of his generation and he still stands at +2.49 PTAT including +4.07 for rump width. One of his minus points is rump angle (-2.55).

Around the world almost 200 Finley sons were sampled. With the graduation of the French bull USONET (ISU 180) he immediately has a top bull.
The early Finley son from Sonette made his debut in July and has become the No.1 bull of the French ranking right away. He is owned by Creavia and was sampled in the same area as Jocko Besne. With his sire stack of Finley x Janze Moun x Sikkema Lead x Eblack x Sunny Boy, Usonet brings very welcome new blood for his sampling area.
Based on the initial 57 daughters the New French No.1 bull immediately distinguishes himself as a top bull for kg Milk and kg Protein. His type figures reflect Finley's influence.
The USONET daughters are large, wide, dairy cows with a very wide rump structure (+4.30), however he is easy calving and can be used on replacement heifers. His udder composite is well above average (+0.9). When using him he should be protected for ligament quality (-1.4) and leg set rear view (-0.9)
